Memorial Bench Example

Commemorative Bench Donation Program Warminster Parks & Recreation recognizes the value of celebrating life experience.  Many people buy the gift of a Commemorative Bench to honor the memory of a lost relative, pet or fallen soldier or to celebrate a joyous  occasion, accomplishment, family milestone or new addition. Often they are placed in a park where relatives and friends can visit.  If you enjoy a particular park and wish to place a lasting memorial, consider donating a bench or tree to the park system.

Residents are invited to select a park for their bench, but the Township will determine final placement. Memorial benches for Warminster Community Park and Kemper Park will only be installed to replace existing green wooden benches.  In addition, applications for memorial benches will only be accepted January 1-September 15 of each year.  Benches and trees will be installed in October/November, at a time that best fits into the work schedule of the park maintenance staff.  Once approved, all park elements are owned by the Township, and benches may be relocated if park development requires it.  The Township will maintain benches for their expected useful life, but is not responsible for damages resulting from vandalism, weather emergencies or other issues beyond our control.

Our Commemorative Benches are six feet in length, mounted in-ground and made from recycled plastic.  This popular, comfortable, contoured bench is available for personalization.
  • Up to three boards of the bench can be engraved; however, wording on the top line is limited to “In Loving Memory of” or In Honor of” . Limit of 32 characters/spaces per line.

Memorial Tree Example

Commemorative Tree Donation Program Warminster Parks & Recreation recognizes the value of celebrating life experience.  Many people buy the gift of a Commemorative tree to honor the memory of a lost relative, pet or fallen soldier or to celebrate a joyous occasion, accomplishment, family milestone or new addition. Often they are placed in a park where relatives and friends can visit.  If you enjoy a particular park and wish to place a lasting memorial, consider donating a tree to the park system.

Residents are invited to select a park for their tree, but the Township will determine final placement. Applications for memorial trees will only be accepted January 1-September 15 of each year.  Trees will be installed in October/November, at a time that best fits into the work schedule of the park maintenance staff.  Once approved, all park elements are owned by the Township, and may be relocated if park development requires it.

Our Commemorative Trees are planted in prominent areas of parks along walking trails or near park amenities and will feature an attached temporary plaque noting the donation in honor of your loved one.  Trees are valuable resources and help communities in many ways. They create an aesthetically pleasing   environment, provide oxygen, help clean the air of pollutants and odor, fight the greenhouse effect, and conserve energy by shading and cooling homes and buildings. They also help prevent water run-off and soil erosion, produce food and mulch, provide  canopy and habitat for wildlife and help keep the atmosphere in balance, and can help in preventing streambank erosion.
  • Up to three lines can be engraved on the tree plaque; however, wording on the top line is limited to “In Loving Memory of” or In Honor of”.  Limit of 32 characters/spaces per line.
